Bio
I'm a photographer and filmmaker based in the Netherlands. My work starts with personal attention for the people in front of my lens, without losing sight of the client's story. I direct where direction is needed, and step back where the real story unfolds on its own. If I do my job right, the result is images in which people look their best and still recognise themselves.
I grew up in Indonesia, and later worked in both healthcare and construction. Connecting with people from all kinds of backgrounds became second nature. Years as a print journalist for Dutch outlets including Trouw and NOS then gave me the eye of a reporter, which I now pair with the precision of styled photography. Today I photograph and film full time, mainly for businesses and cultural institutions.
